How it started
Yasser Elsaid was a final-year university student doing internships at big tech companies when, inspired by bootstrappers like Pieter Levels and Danny Postma, he built a 'ChatGPT for your data' product. He launched Chatbase to 16 Twitter followers with a demo tweet that went viral, helped by tagging tools like LangChain and Pinecone. With product-led growth and build-in-public, it hit $1M ARR in 117 days, and he dropped out; it is now at ~$7M ARR without funding.
