How it started

College roommates Dylan Jardon and Henry Belcaster started the Smart Nonsense podcast in 2020, which flopped (14 views) as unemployment money ran out, so they pivoted to a service business. They landed big clients by offering free video work (e.g. to the My First Million podcast after a Twitter call-out) and 'squatter marketing', then built a pool of top animators. Profits fund their own daily animated shorts (1B+ views) and the Smart Nonsense newsletter.
