How it started
Julian Gargicevich grew up in Argentina in his dad's fitness center, became a software engineer in Australia (including Atlassian), and co-ran an influencer marketing business for mobile games that taught him user acquisition. After trying Fitbod and finding its workouts poor, he built a better workout engine with Fitbod-like UX in 2-3 months. A Reddit post on how he built it (then called Gainz AI) brought thousands of first users; cheap paid ads scaled it to 70K+ subscribers.
