How it started
In 2013 Karthik Shanadi and a fraternity brother started Greek House to be a better custom-merch vendor for fraternities and sororities, building it while he worked full-time at Amazon and then Salesforce. They obtained ~300 college licenses, expanded into College Thread and Threadly (corporate apparel), and launched Athletes Thread after the NCAA name-image-likeness ruling. Growth came largely without ads, via marketplaces like Etsy and Google Shopping plus Google paid search.
