How it started
Matt, a senior software engineer on Meta's AI team, played tournaments at his local course that used nothing for scoring; the pro said Golf Genius was too complicated and expensive. He built Live Tourney on nights and weekends for the course's first event about four years ago and grew it to ~150 golf courses. After balancing both for years, he decided at the end of the episode to leave Meta and go all in on the business.
