How it started
Flo, a German computer science graduate and former mobile UX lead who taught himself iOS, built MonAI for himself after quitting cumbersome expense trackers. Solo, he spent about 1.5 years getting it to only $300 MRR. He then partnered with one content creator, and together they scaled it to $35K+ MRR in just over a year; A/B tests showed a hard paywall with a 7-day trial worked best.
