How it started

Jay was a software engineer at Amazon and not the entrepreneurial type when he got the idea while traveling alone and finding it hard to meet people. Deciding the regret of not trying was riskier than failing, he left to build NomadTable. About 15 months after launch it was bootstrapped to $140K MRR with 1.8M users and over 100K meetups, with growth involving a network of content creators.
