How it started
Jordan Rejaud has a master's in science, worked on a moon rover and as a Fortune 100 researcher, then taught himself to code and moved to San Francisco; he has bootstrapped two businesses past $1M each. The idea came after a co-worker was sent to prison and told him by letter that prison communication services were overpriced scams. He built a prototype in a month, validated it with contacts inside, and had 200 paying users and profitability in the first month; growth has been entirely word of mouth plus a referral-credit program, with zero ads.
