How it started
Mario quit a software engineering job at Lyft to fight doomscrolling, while Alejandro, a CS grad whose startups had failed for ignoring distribution, set out to master virality first. Alejandro posted a fake product demo on TikTok that went viral with commenters begging for the app; they met via YC co-founder matching and built a three-screen MVP in two weeks. A launch video offering it free for the first week brought 20-30K downloads, and organic formats scaled it to $30K/month before adding ads.
