How it started

Bhanu, a software engineer, quit a startup job, moved back to his parents' house and built Feather, which reached about $6K MRR. In early 2023 he built a blog chatbot for Feather customers over a weekend, spun it out as SiteGPT and launched in two weeks, later selling Feather for $250K. Growth comes from 'engineering as marketing': ~50 free tools targeting search keywords, driving most of its ~50K monthly Google clicks with $0 on paid marketing.
