How it started

Lukas Hermann, a German software developer and former freelancer/startup employee, built a simple countdown timer for the video production industry. He validated it with one feedback post per niche subreddit, shipped an MVP in three days with technologies he already knew, and earned his first dollar after 224 days working an hour each evening. His wife later joined to run marketing, Google Ads, sales and support; a free tier and word of mouth grew it to $25K/month.
