How it started
Matt Giovanisci worked at pool companies, testing water and advising customers, and realized he could teach this at scale via blog posts and videos. He built the site while working in marketing until his boss found out and fired him, then went all in: $20K the first year, $40K the next. Monetized first via AdSense, then affiliate links, and mostly via courses and the Pool Care Handbook, with SEO, a 225K-subscriber YouTube channel and a 100K newsletter.
