How it started
Sabba Keynejad, a design graduate from a rural area, met co-founder Tim online via a hackathon; they spent years on failed projects. In 2018 they started VEED, inspired by Giphy's simple GIF editor, aiming for basic video editing in the browser. They bootstrapped through near-bankruptcy, grew to 30K monthly users in nine months, were rejected by Y Combinator, and kept growing to $40M ARR.
